چکیده

Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of elective single embryo transfer (eSET) versus double (DET) in frozen cycles following vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment good prognosis patients. The outcome would provide medical data for multiple pregnancy rate reduction IVF treatment.
Methods: multicenter retrospective cohort was performed patients undergoing first (FET) at centers which belonged IVFMD Group, Vietnam, from January 2018 May 2020. Patients were divided into four groups, based on number embryos transferred, as follows: Group 1: one quality day-3 (eSET D3), 2: day-5 D5), 3: two (DET and 4: D5). primary live birth rates (LBR) after FET. Secondary outcomes also analyzed, including (?-hCG positive, clinical pregnancy, miscarriage < 12 weeks, ongoing 20 [MBR]), well neonatal (birth weight gestational age birth).
 Results: There 819 patients, FET 132 eSET D3, 278 D5, 140 DET 269 D5. LBR MBR values significantly lower D3 group than (LBR: 22.7% vs 39.3%, p = 0.002; MBR: 3.3% 29.1%, 0.001, respectively). D5 compared with (9.6% 38.3%, 0.001), while comparable between groups (41.4% 42.8%, 0.74). Birth similar DET, regardless or transfer.
Conclusions: Among infertile, women FET, decreased transfer, still sustaining an acceptable outcomes.

Economic evaluations of single- versus double-embryo transfer in IVF.

Multiple pregnancies lead to complications and induce high costs. The most successful way to decrease multiple pregnancies in IVF is to transfer only one embryo, which might reduce the efficacy of treatment. The objective of this review is to determine which embryo-transfer policy is most cost-effective: elective single-embryo transfer (eSET) or double-embryo transfer (DET). Several databases w...

Elective single-embryo transfer versus double-embryo transfer in in vitro fertilization.

BACKGROUND The risks of premature birth and perinatal death are increased after in vitro fertilization. These risks are mainly due to the high incidence of multiple births, which relates to the number of embryos transferred. METHODS We performed a randomized, multicenter trial to assess the equivalence of two approaches to in vitro fertilization with respect to the rates of pregnancy that res...

Comparison of elective single cleavage-embryo transfer to elective single blastocyst-embryo transfer in human IVF-ET

OBJECTIVE This study was carried out to compare the clinical outcome of elective single cleavage-embryo transfer (eSCET) to that of elective single blastocyst-embryo transfer (eSBET) in human IVF-ET. METHODS This study was a retrospective study which analyzed for 614 women who visited the Daegu Maria Clinic from August 2008 to December 2009. All were under 37 years old and had more than 8 mm ...

Elective single embryo transfer

The aim of the study was to evaluate if the elective single embryo transfer (eSET) strategy could maintain the delivery rates, with at least one live born child, and at the same time decrease the rate of multiple births. A costeffectiveness analysis was also performed between the elective single embryo transfer (SET) (1+1) and double embryo transfer (DET)(2+0) strategies. Another aim was to inv...

Elective single-embryo transfer

N umerous publications have investigated the practice of elective single-embryo transfer (eSET) (1–27). Single-embryo transfer after in vitro fertilization (IVF) has been advocated as the only effective means to avoid multiple pregnancy in IVF cycles (28). Elective SET is defined as the transfer of a single embryo at either the cleavage or blastocyst stage of embryo development that is selected...
